Sketchout: Cybele

"At Worlds End, there lays the unfinished ending to an ancient tale. I've come to you, Lady Helena, to see it finished. For the only thing sadder than a story left unfinished, is a story left unread."

Mysterious, elegant, and considered by most to be terribly untrustworthy, Cybele is the proprietress of Pallas Island's largest inn. Seemingly knowledgeable about everything and everyone, many come to her for information which, despite her shady nature, is always correct. Although possessing a bad reputation, something she makes no effort to counteract, Helena seems to trust her implicitly... much to the chagrin of others.

Yet another 'sketchout' character building session where I just start sketching ideas and keeping the best of whatever pops out. Cybele doesn't play a part in the story im currently writing (The Record of Modern Magic) but does play a minor part in almost all subsequent stories. She also plays a -major- part in two specific stories, 'Flower Viewing at Worlds End' & 'The End of a Certain Story.'
